Bresolettes, located in a Perche Forest clearing, is a village of 21 people (as of 1999). The mayor of Bresolettes, Xavier Van de Walle, had agreed to meet us at St-Pierre Church located next to his office.
Since the church is no longer used for services, it is kept locked. The mayor graciously offered to let us visit the church before going on to "La Crsiterie"
St-Pierre Church dates back to the 16th century. To enter the church, one has to cross the church's cemetery.

On April 7, 1977, His Excellency Gérard Pelletier, then Canadian Ambassador to France and a descendant of Guillaume's, unveiled a plaque honoring Guillaume and his brother Antoine. Unfortunately, there is an error on the plaque. The brothers left France in 1641, not 1646. Canadian archives show that both brothers were ceded property in Beauport, Québec in 1644; therefore, they had to have left France before 1646.
