Marie Antoinette Pelletier, 89 Retired school teacher
Marie Antoinette "Toni" Pelletier of Belmont, a retired school teacher for the city of Boston, died of heart failure on Wednesday (25 March 1998) at the Brookhaven Nursing Center in Lexington. She was 89.
Ms. Pelletier was born in Winchendon, MA where her father was a prominent physician. She attended Radcliffe College and graduated from Emmanuel College in 1929. She also held a masters degree from Boston University. Ms. Pelletier was a teacher for many years in the Somerville school system and then became a home school teacher in the Boston school system.
An avid traveler, she journeyed extensively throughout Europe and Latin America (with her sister Betty). Ms. Pelletier was an active volunteer worker at both Youville and Sancta Maria Hospitals in Cambridge. She is survived by her step mother, Gertrude A. Pelletier of Springfield, and by four sisters and two brothers as well as by many nieces and nephews.
